The VRT Team of Myself.Brad, Adam, & Jesse attended the 2009 Racing Banquet last night in Otsego. The Night began with Happy Hour and alot of Mingling with Fellow Drivers and Teams, The Food was served at 6:00pm and everyone pigged out on Chicken and Ham. Then the Evenings Festivities began with the Point Trophy Presentations that saw Adam take home the 4th Place hardware, and gave a short speech thanking The Team and Crew. Jesse then stepped on stage to except his Hardware for finishing 3rd, Jesse quieted the Crowd with a Emotional Tribute to a Lost Friend, Ralph Homley the Clown Leanord that passed away 2 weeks ago. A touching Moment for the whole VRT Team as we were all close to Ralph and will always consider him a VRT Member!!
The Season ending awards were handed out next with Adam being called twice to the the stage to collect the Latemodel Rookie of the Year award and then the Hard Luck Award for his 90 lap Dominance in the Freedom 100 before losing his motor with 10 to go. (Damn i hate saying that). The Team was also considered in the Best Looking Car (or Cars) award but was Beat out by another good looking set of Cars owned by Marty Crawford. We Congradulate Marty as he always has Nice looking stuff, We'll try again Next year for that one.. But our Goal for the 2010 season is sitting at the Championship Table SO WE CAN EAT FIRST!! lol... Be it Adam or Jesse we hope to be sitting up front.
