          MID-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS
                A WILD & CRAZY NIGHT

JESSE SCORES A TOP 5 WITH A 4TH PLACE FINISH
ADAM WHEELS A WOUNDED PURPLE DEUCE TO A 7TH
VRT RACING TEAM TO BE FEATURED IN GAZETTE HOMETOWN!

SATURDAY JULY 17TH.....
The VRT Team was ready for the Mid-Season Championships Saturday after a Rough Going last week at the Freedom 100. The Team worked on both cars all week making some repairs and Brad & Jesse spent alot of late Hours making Changes to the #38 Hotrod trying to find the Set-up that had for some reason gone away the last few Races. A new Oil Cooler was installed thanks to Kevin at Jaspares Pizza. Brad also installed a Cooler on Adam's Purple Deuce hoping to help cure the Overheating Problem.

HOTLAPS.............
Both Adam & Jesse looked quick, Jesse's new set-up helped alot as he was alot better on exit and had more speed down the shoot. Adam was quick, but was experiencing a Loose off condition that we would blame the Track condition on.

QUALIFYING........
Jesse would be the 1st VRT Car to qualify and would post a quick lap at 14.458 that would post him 7th quick. Adam would take the Purple Deuce out in the 2nd group and lay down a 14.482 Lap that would make him 8th quick out of the 11 (yes 11)!! latemodels that qualifyed.

AS WHAT HAS BECOME A NEW STANDARD!! NO DASH'S OR HEATS!!
(WONDER WERE ALL THAT MONEY IS GOING??)

MARC CASEY SCORES MID-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP WIN

The 50 LAP Latemodel Mid-Season Championship feature would see only 10 cars start with Adam rolling the VRT Purple Deuce into the outside Pole position next to Tim Olson in the #4. Jesse would line up his #38 Hotrod in the 2nd row Inside the #15 of Justin Stephens. The Green Flag would drop at 9:09pm with Tim Olson pushing Adam high in turn 1 and seizing the lead with Jesse running 3rd behind Adam. The 1st Caution would fly quickly on Lap 2 for the #49 of Scott Rugg looping his car in turn 2.As the Cars came around Under Yellow, the #4 of Olson Break Checked and or slow'd to quickly and came down the Track in Turn 4 and Clipped the Right Front of Jesse's Car Flatning the Right Front Tire! Jesse would bring the Car to our Pit So Brad and The Team along with Help from the Todd Foote Crew could Hurridly change the Tire. On the Re-Start with the cars double filed, Adam on the outside, and Tim Olson taking the Inside, Olson would lose Grip out of turn 4 and loose the Rear of the Car sliding up and taking Adam out with him. Adam's Car would sustain heavy cosmetic Damage to the Right Front as the #4 Car drove over the front with the rear of his car. Adam would be able to continue, With Olson going off on the Hook. Adam would be sent to the Tail for the Yellow (Another What The F==k Call). The Re-Start would see the #09 of Marc Casey assume the lead over the #15 of Stephens, and The #9 of Luke Krick. The #0 of Points Leader Rich Hardy made his presence known on lap 20 taking over the 3rd spot from Stephens. Jesse would battle the #25 of Ralph Wine and The #49 of Rugg for several laps, until the #49 would fall out from a Mis-Firing Motor, The #15 of Stephens would leave the race next with a Rear-end Problem after battling the #0 of Hardy for several laps. Adam's Night would come to a end on Lap 35 as the ignition wire would come off and the car would lose power. Casey would go on to score the win with no real pressure as only 5 cars would finish. The Top 5 would be.
