RAIN CAN'T STOP GALESBURG FROM BEING PACKED

FULL OF FAN'S & RACE CARS,  WHAT A NIGHT!!

ADAM QUALIFY'S 9TH AND HAS A GOOD RUN FINISHING 7TH

JESSE PUTS HIS SPORTSMAN IN THE DASH AND FINISH'S 4TH IN FEATURE

Wow!! is the word that starts off the week#2 Article for the VRT Team Cars of Adam & Jesse. After all the Local Race Tracks threw in the Towel as they thought the Rain would wash out there shows, Galesburg Speedway and there Very Smart new Owner and Track Manager Tom McGee and Jim Woodin stuck it out and Put on a HELL OF A SHOW!! for the 2nd straight week the Stands were packed and so was the Pits! did'nt get a Official Car Count but i'm asuming it broke opening nights record of over 90 cars! Some Kalamazoo drivers came over and Ran, and thats what helped this night be one to Remember!! A steady Rain Drizzle threw out the evening did'nt dampen the Racers Spirit as all the scheduled Races were finished, It even took a 2nd time around Latemodel Feature to close this Exciting Night. The Latemodels came out for there 40 Lapper at around 10pm only to see the Drizzle get a little stronger and some cars were tore up in just 1 Lap. But Tommy and Jim made the Call to bring out the Burg Stock Feature and let the Latemodels go back to there pit and take a deep breath before bringing them back out at 10:30pm to see them run a very clean and Exciting Feature.

                                         SPORTSMAN FEATURE
Jesse started 10th in his Tribute to America Sportsman after posting a Qualifying Lap of 15.279 that made him 4th quick in the field. Jesse ran in the Sportsman Dash only to have some handling problems and finished 5th. But the outlook for the Feature was more visible and the Anticipation was clearly seen on Jesse face. Kalamazoo regular Ben Raber #30 & K.C Foote #61v would pace the field to the Green. Jesse would stay tight with the lead pack threw out the early stages, But after some Lengthy Cautions and some tore up Race Cars (including Jesse) Jesse would fight hard and Race his way back into the Top 5 without a front Clip which was ripped off during one of the many incidents during the feature! Jesse would claim a 4th Place finish that Proved Aerodynamics arn't really needed at Galesburg!
Donnie Ritter would Power his Nice Looking #1 Machine to Victory followed by Cale Williams.

                                                    LATEMODEL FEATURE
Adam started 9th in His Purple Deuce after posting a Qualifying lap of 14.681 that made him 9th quick out of a Very Strong Field of Latemodels. Kalamazoo regulars Dave Lober #57, Mike Brooks #84 were on Hand along with Spartan Speedway Defending Champ Tim Ryan #14,  and Clay DePlanche Piloting the Harry Foote Jr. #70. Galseburg Regular Donnie Ritter would Pilot the Greg Parr #8 to make this one of the strongest fields of Latemodels seen at Galesburg in a LONG TIME!! Dave Lober and Last weeks winner Marc Casey would Pace the Field to the Green. Lober almost lead the Field from wire to wire but a Crafty Pass by A.J Foote with 3 laps to go would help him Score a Big Win on this night! Adam held his ground threw out the Race holding off some Quick Cars such as Mike Brooks, Tim Ryan and Clay Deplanche to score a Top 10 finish coming home in 7th.  A.J Foote took the win, with Dave Lober 2nd , and Donnie Ritter with a strong run in 3rd.

Latemodel Dash Winner...........Dave Lober

THIS WEEK IN THE VRT GARAGE
Jesse's sportsman will be the main focus as it will need some cosmetic work putting the damaged front clip back on and then ....The NEW POWER PLANT will be dropped in it this week. Brad is chomping at the Bit along with Jesse to get this motor in and give Jesse some much needed horsepower that should put him right were he needs to be.

UNTIL NEXT WEEK......STOMP ON THE GAS AND TURN LEFT!!
