A TRULY SOMBER NIGHT AT THE BURG!!

update ON DONNIE NELSON....

We have been recieveing infromation from a close family member of Donnie and want to clear any kind of rumors that have been floating around! Donnie is still in Critical Condition on Life Support and the Hospital has scheduled a neck and spine specialist to be flown in from Ann Arbor, Donnie is breathing some on his own, But still needs help. The injury is realated to Dale Earnhardts and the doctors said if the tear in the spinal muscle had been 1 inch below it would have Killed him instantley!! We are all Praying and keeping Donnie and his Family in our Thoughts! We would like anyone and everyone that has anything to do with racing to try and show your support by-it e-mail or posting a Prayer on your Racing Web-Site.. The Vanavery Racing Team will do anything and everthing to help in this time of Need. Thank's and let us all again think SAFTEY!

JESSE'S BAD LUCK CONTINUES !!!!!
ADAM RAN 1 AND WAS DONE !!!!


First off the Entire VRT Racing Team, Our Fans, and Friends have Donnie Nelson & His Family in our Thoughts and Prayers as Donnie was involved in a very Scary and Horrific Crash last night. Apparently Donnies throttle stuck wide open and put hin head on into the turn 1 retaining wall. Brad, Myself and VRT Team Member Chet Terry were pretty much the 1st to get to Donnies Car after the wreck, we wanted to make sure he was alright and wanted to help as much as possible. It was a not so Cool seen for us Die-Hard racers to see happen, It brings a true reality check on how something like that can happen to not just someone you don't know, But a Loved one or Close Friend! Thoughts of that Happening to Jesse or Adam were Flashed in my mind Instantly, And it really makes ya Think that MAN ya gotta think of Saftey as a major issue in a Sport such as Racing, and try to Upgrade when possible, we are already in the process of purchasing a Han's device for Jesse and Adam. From the information we recieved last night Donnie was racing for the 1st Time ever, and had just purchased the car... A Truly SAD Story that i was hoping i'd never have to write on a Racing Web-Site, and hopefully never will have too again...

JESSE'S NIGHT........

Jesse & The VRT Team Rolled Jesse's Latemodel out of the Hauler shortly after 3:00pm On saturday with High Hopes of Getting the Bad Luck Monkey KNOCKED off Jesse's shoulders, Jesse took the car out in Hotlaps and Ran some strong laps that gave the Team Good Hopes of a Good Night, Jesse went out in Hotlaps and Qualifyed the Car 7th quick with a lap of 14.571 that landed him in the fast heat were he would start dead last. Jesse basically just laying back not pushing the issue and saving the car for the feature was able to make a couple pass's and finish 6th. Jesse started would would be noted as THE CRAZIEST LATEMODEL FEATURE EVER!! Sheet Metal and debri was the Winner of this Race as Many Top Cars and Contenders were involved in crash's threw out the race, 24 Latemodels were on hand and 20 started the A with a 16 car inversion. Jesse started 10th and looked as tho he was going to be right in the Mix of things, But again Bad Luck BETTY! struck! as Jesse was making some good moves to the outside groove he and Scott Rugg came together coming out of turn 2 and Jeese was Forced off the back stretch and into the Retaining Tires! Heavy Damage was done Cosmetically, But the Car itself was still Good, After some Quick Repairs in the pits Jesse came back out 2 laps down, But ran some strong laps to finish (IN OUR EYE 8th) We would like to Thank Josh Trammell and Simmie Hicks and all the rest of the drivers and crews that helped Jesse get back on the track! Thanks Guy's!

ADAM'S NIGHT.........

Adam was PUMPED to get to Race saturday as the OL Betsy Sportsman had gotten some adjustments from crew Chief Bad Brad threw the week and Adam was determined to put his Dad's changes into Victory lane. Adam was fast in Hotlaps but seemed to not have JUST THAT LITTLE BIT MORE and Brad was back at thought of what to try next, a Quick adjustment to the Rear suspension and Adam was sent out to Qualify, Adam posted the 7th Fastest lap with a 15.606 lap that would (like Jesse) start him dead last in the Fast heat. Adam showed that the adjustments made at the track were right and motored the car to a impressive 2nd place finish, After a Cool 3 car battle with Josh Trammell and Jeff Griffin. As the night progressed and the many races that were run cause of a HUGE car count over 100 cars! Adam grew restless watching wreck after wreck in each race, Adam would say repeataly WERE NOT RACING. And as That thought became reality as the Sportsman Feature was Postponed due to the Bad Wreck of Donnie Nelson, Adam with Deep thought of the Nights Event Loaded the Car and will wait till next week to GET-R-DONE!

MISC. TALK AND CONGRADULATIONS...........

The VRT TEAM Happily Congradulates Old Teammate and still close friend CRAZY Bob Methany on breaking the Track Record in Street-Stocks previously held by Close Friend and Former Team-Mate Kevin England. WAY TO GO STINKY !! Also Congrad's to Little Johnny Foote as he won his 1st race this year winning the Street-Stock Dash. Also let's give it up to Team-Mate Chet Terry running a strong race and finishing 4th in the Mini-Stock A-Feature. WAY TO GO CHESTER!!

UNTIL NEXT WEEK WHEN HOPEFULLY EVERYTHING WILL BE BACK TO NORMAL AND WE CAN ALL INHALE AND TRY TO FORGET A VERY EVENTFULL NIGHT AT THE BURG!! CRUISE EASY MY FRIENDS AND IF YA RACE.....PLEASE START THINKING SAFTEY 1ST.!!!!!!!!!!
